Arthur Pitt, 55, of Willingboro, became the center of an investigation after the BCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children concerning Pitt’s online activities, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said.
The investigation revealed that Pitt had more than 1,000 child sex abuse images and videos, and utilized an online cloud storage application to store the material.
He was arrested Tuesday, July 16 at home in Willingboro and charged with possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly and released Wednesday, July 17, following a first appearance in Superior Court. The case will be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.
